Winter Warmers

There's nothing better at this time of year than sitting down in comfy pj's with your Christmas Tree lights twinkling, watching a Christmas film and drinking hot chocolate in a very festive mug!!

I have to admit that I am not that into drinking hot chocolate until Christmas time, maybe it has something to do with the fact that it may include a little bit of Baileys. This time I decided to get a little bit create and not just use chocolate powder from a jar.

The first one I made in the cutest little milk jar was a Terry's Chocolate Orange Hot Choclate with whipped cream and a striped straw. It was extremely easy to make, I measured the milk into the jar and then poured it into a pan on a low heat to warm through (please ask an adult to help). Once it was the right temperature I put in about a quarter of the chocolate orange and stirred until it had fully melted. Leave it to cool for five minuted before pouring into the milk jar, then add the whipped cream - as much or as little as you would like and add the straw. To make it a little fancier I popped a piece of the chocolate orange on top for decoration.

My other creation was this white hot chocolate served up in a festive mug from Asda. A confession - this time I did use a very delicious chocolate powder from Whittards!! Once again I measured out the milk in my mug and poured into a pan to heat up, I then used a table spoon and added in the powder until it was the perfect chocolate consistence. The final touches to make it look super cute was whipped cream, marshmallows, a candy cane and chocolate sprinkles left over from the Terry's Chocolate Orange.

Give these a go yourselves for Christmas morning to make the perfect combination of delicious hot chocolate and opening presents.

Have a very Merry Christmas!!!

The Ripped Jean Edit

Leather Jacket: Miss Selfridge, Shirt: H&M, Top: H&M, Jeans: George at Asda, Boots: Zara

This style of outfit is something I tend to reach for the most, I'm not one to head out every single day dressed up to the nines, I just don't have the time to piece everything together to look "stylish". I much prefer and feel a lot more comfortable throwing on whatever I can find in my wardrobe and to be fair it usually consists of these checked shirts from H&M.

Could we just point out that I am rocking a pair of skinny jeans ... and can finally bid farewell to black leggings worn every single day for the past five years. (I do own a black pair but they hide a lifetime of sins right?! But to rock a blue pair is on another level) I'm only a fan of skinny jeans for some reason, but to find a pair to fit my thunder thighs meant I had to size up which you guessed it, they were not longer skinny. So to get a blue pair in a size 12 which actually fits has made my year!

What's not a post this festive season without featuring a Christmas Tree?! After all this was my outfit choice to complete my Christmas Shopping - woohoo! Only four days to go...
