Make Up Revolution Review

Mascara:
This product only cost £2 so I didn't really expect something absolutely amazing or on the scale of mascaras from other drugstore brands. The brush is pretty big and thick but the bristles are quite small which does catch all the lashes at once and also separates them, however, the product clogs up on the spooly and you have to wipe the excess away. After using this mascara on a few occasions I'm still up in the air as to what I think about it, it doesn't create huge volume to my eye lashes, for me I love a thick look like the Maybelline Colossal Mascaras create but this one not so much. On the other hand if you are wanting a more natural look then I would certainly recommend this mascara.
Nail Polish:
I was intrigued at how good the nail polishes were seen as they are only £1 and I have to say I quite like them, they apply really well and evenly you only need two coats which is fantastic as a lot of cheap polishes I have had in the past need three or four coats. I am not the best when it comes to nail polish and I do chip them fairly easily, the polish was on for two days before a couple of my nails chipped, but this is nothing new to me, all the other nails still seemed going strong.

Eye Shadow Palette:
I'm such a huge fan of the eyeshadow palettes, they are the greatest thing I have owned in a long time and at £4 you really do have to stock up on them. Unfortunately even though the shades are beautiful and quite dark, they apply fairly light and as I have quite pale skin they look a little cold. I am extremely gutted as they are so pretty, I'm sure that I will be able to find a way to be able to wear them.

Have you tried any of these products before, I'd love to hear what you think of them.

Oreo Cupcakes

I'm a real sucker when it comes to sweet treats such as cupcakes, cakes and chocolate and immediately the healthy eating is thrown out of the window. Plus I always seem to repeat the exact same three words 'start again tomorrow', it really is the story of my life.

When I watched Tanya Burr's video baking Oreo Cupcakes my mouth literally dropped to the floor, I'm not a massive fan of Oreo's but they looked delicious and had to give it a whirl. They were also the perfect present for my boyfriends birthday.

The ingredients and the way you make them are pretty much exactly the same as how I made the Halloween Cupcakes last week which you can see here!

Cupcakes:
175g butter
165g caster sugar
3 eggs
125g self raising flower
40g Cocoa Powder
Oreos

Frosting:
100g butter
200g icing sugar
Oreos

Equipment:
Large mixing bowl
Wooden spoon
Cupcake cases (Halloween style)
Whisk
Weighing Scales

1. The only difference to the mixture for the cupcakes is that you add the Cocoa Powder at the same time as the self raising flower and eggs.

2. Before you place the mixture into the bun cases place an Oreo into the bottom of them for a special surprise to those who will bite into the cupcake.

3. Get half a packet of Oreo's then either place them into a blender or into a sandwich bag and use a rolling pin to turn them into crumbs. Place this into the frosting mixture and blend thoroughly.

4. Once the cupcakes are cooked and have the icing on top, take an Oreo and brake it in half, then place this on top of the icing and voila you have your cute and very tasty Oreo Cupcakes.

I hope that you enjoy these as much as I did making them :)

An Afternoon's Inspiration

I apologise for the lack of posting over these past few days or even weeks should I say, it has all felt a little mish-mashed and I am posting one day and the other nothing. I am going through one of them uninspired phases which is super annoying and frustrating and no matter how hard I try and get out of it, it is not working. Even though my aim is to blog every single day I did not just want to post something which seemed rubbish to me with not a lot of effort putting in to it, for me if it is not 100% then do not post and just leave it for the day.

As you will have seen in a previous post I am trying to find my niche, something that my readers can link to me and always want to look back every day to check out my next post.

I took a trip to York yesterday, I absolutely love this city and would put it on par with Chester and Canterbury. For me the quaint, individual shops, cobbled streets and cottage style buildings are so cute and make me feel all warm and happy.

If you have any blog posts you would like me to do then please comment below or send me a tweet :)

Top Autumn Beauty Picks

Here are my top beauty picks for Autumn/Winter 2014, most of the shades are very similar but yet once you are rocking them they are quite different from one another.

I absolutely love the rich, dark shades at the moment I think they are so chic and pretty and add that bit of warmth to your look in these dark, dreary days, plus you can make yourself look as vampy as possible on Halloween.

The perfect autumn look would be a cream based eyeshadow which gives off a golden hue and a smokey vibe, add a lot of mascara and liquid eyeliner to give that feline affect, then go for a dark lip. For the rest of the face I would say keep it as neutral as possible otherwise you will have far too much going off and it would not look quite right. I know that the rules are either go heavy on the eyes or lips, but I say be brave and wear them both with pride. What would be cute would be if you matched your nail polish to your lipstick, it would pull your look in together so perfectly.

I hope that you love these picks, and would love to hear what you think of these products.
