Homewears Addiction

The other day I took a little trip to Matalan and Home Bargains to try and find some cheap and cheerful home decorations to add to my bedroom ready for the make over. I wanted to go a little rustic and vintage with some of my accessories and had the perfect idea in my head of what I would like thanks to Pinterest, it certainly took some time to find the items.

First up is a glass jar, however it could not be any old jar, it had to be a particulate shape and size with some rope around it and a handle.... so erm.. not being picky much. I wanted to add some fairy lights into the jar and place it onto a shelf or in front of a fireplace with candles around it, they will look super cute on a cold autumn night all lit up.

How nice is this throw? Its super soft and perfect for these cold nights, plus it happens to be a check fabric which is my favourite print of this season. It was only £5 which is such a bargain and the perfect accessory to brighten up your plain bedding.

I am extremely excited to start painting the walls and finally tie everything altogether.

A Day at Lytham

At the weekend I was ploying with the idea of going shopping again which certainly is not a bad thing but it is not the best when you are trying to budget and have a lot of presents to buy over the next few months. So me and my boyfriend headed to the very picturesc Lytham in the Lancashire area. It was so pretty with a bright blue sky and the trees starting to turn the beautiful orange colour, with fruit and veg stalls selling pumpkins outside, it really did feel magical and autumnal, plus the temperature added to it too... brrr!

We ventured down the high street looking in the quirky gift shops, charity shops where I found a River Island top I once had on my to buy lists last winter but never did and it looks brand new too. Then we stopped off for a midday rest in a cute little coffee shop called Berties, the walls were covered in quirky mirrors that you could buy and on each table was a little pot with lavender flowers in.

I absolutely loved spending a few hours of my weekend visiting a cute little town, and will definitely head back there again in the near future.
