Autumn Lookbook #2

Monochrome is bang on trend this season who cares about adding a pop of colour to an outfit when you can walk down the streets looking highly sophisticated and glamorous. This black and white striped dress is from River Island and I picked it up in one of their summer sales back at the beginning of August, another perfect transitional piece. It is quite a soft jersey fabric which will keep you snug in the colder months ahead but is fairly baggy keeping you cooler on those warmer days.

This style of dress is my favourite, the A-Line structure skims my body so on days when I have eaten a lot or had a few beverages I don't have to worry about feeling bloated. I need a lot more of these dresses in my wardrobe.

Hair Tutorial : Put it in a Bun

Recently I have been experimenting with my hair, having an awful lot of free time on my hands allows me to be able to try out different styles as I am so bored with wearing it down all the time. After watching X Factor I am now a bit of a fan of wearing a bun thanks to Cheryl, she looked absolutely gorgeous.

I did not want to be too precise but also I didn't want it to be too messy either, backcombing at the roots of my hair to give the front bit a lift when tying it back into a ponytail. I then took the hair and backcombed it messy to so that it would create a much bigger bun, I moved the hair around the bobble in a circular motion and tied it into place with a much smaller bobble. With the loose strands sticking out from my layers were pinned back trying to hide the clip inside the bun.

University Tips & Tricks #5

Woohooo the big day is finally here, its such a roller-coaster of emotions but that is perfectly normal do not worry.

My advice would be set off early, your campus will be so busy with everyone else moving in, you want to miss the mad rush and have yourself a tiny bit organised and relaxed when its time to meet those around you.
Don't panic if your room is a complete mess when your neighbours pop into your room to introduce themselves, they will be in the exact same boat as you and there is plenty of time. Keep your door open as you are unpacking this way whoever walks past you can smile and say hello and make them feel welcome to come and talk to you.

Maybe ask your parents to leave you on your own for a couple of hours so that it makes it slightly easier to unpack and find places for your belongings.

Whilst you have transport you should go out and discover the area you are living in, find your nearest supermarket and do your food shop. Maybe pop into the town to see how far it is from your halls and which buses you should get, just to get yourself familiar with it.

I hope my university series has been helpful for you and made your move that little bit easier. All I can say now is good luck, you will love it!

Autumn Look Book #1

We are officially in Autumn, well the very early days as we are now in September and I have to say this is probably my most favourite season just because the weather can still reach fairly warm temperatures but then there are days to get all cosy in knits, duvets and throws.

Instead of creating a video I thought that it would be quite fun to compile a few different looks together which are great transitional pieces from Summer through until Winter. This leather skirt is definitely an item which fits this purpose I am absolutely in love with it and literally wear it all the time, I have teamed it with this super soft knitted jumper and some little ankle boots.

Schwarzkopf Hair Mask

This Schwarzkopf Omega Repair Hair Mask is for damaged and depleted hair with a luxurious pearl essence, sounds fancy which is why I have added it to my latest hair care routine. As my usual hair mask ran out it was time that I tried a new brand and mask, normal conditioner isn't doing it for my ombré hair at the moment it's extremely dry and broken at the ends and far too knotted.

I've only used this hair mask a couple of times but I am already loving it and have noticed a huge difference than what it was previously. The consistency is much thicker rather than being the typical smooth, silky feel, knowing that my hair will have a deep conditioning treatment.

Hair masks have got to be my saviour this past month or so.
