What's On My Face

Here are the products that I used to create this look today.

My day to day make up does not really change that much, I am one of the boring individuals who finds a product they love and not use anything else. I am getting a little better at trying out new things but I find myself always going back to what I like.

The main products I do switch up on a daily basis is blusher and bronzer. Some days I like to go for a more natural look so I either use Benefit 10 and Hoola, if I want a bit more colour in my cheeks then I use Benefit Coralista.

Pretty much everyday I rock eyeliner, whether it be a thin line just above the eyelashes or quite a thick line with a flick at the end. Sometimes I just like to go quite natural with a little bit of mascara, especially if I am in a little bit of a rush in the morning or I'm heading somewhere quite informal.

Have you used any of these products? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this look.

Haul: Toiletries

I have been a very naughty girl the past couple of months, being stuck in my room at uni (probably getting bored hearing me talk about this), pretty much most weekends saw me popping into town or the Trafford Centre and splashing the cash. I say this as thought I have spent a fortune, but I only spent a little bit each time I got paid from work.

However, this haul includes things which I actually needed. I don't always enjoy going out to buy toiletries, I find it a little bit boring and always want to go for the top notch products that I cannot afford. This time around I wanted to try and get some new face care products, as I want to look after my skin more than what I do.

I have seen a lot of bloggers raving over this Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and they have said it is a good dupe for the ... I have to say I cannot justify this or back it up as I have not tried the ... before. To be perfectly honest, I did not believe that the micellar cleansing waters would work at all, how is it any different than just using water? Well... after giving it a try, I realised how very different this is from ordinary water, and I felt a little bit bad for not trusting what everyone had to say about it. It has a silky consistency to it and glides across the face lovely, taking away pretty much all of your make up off. It is also fantastic at removing eye make up which is perfect so that it does two jobs in one, and less products you have to buy. To use this product I use a couple of round cotton pads and pour the cleansing water onto it.

If I am going to start my skincare routine then I have to do it properly so I also picked up the Garnier Refreshing Toner. I have only used this product a couple of times so it is difficult to say how much it works, but my skin did feel refreshed once I had used it. I honestly don't think that my face has ever felt as refreshed before than what it did after using both of these products.

Every once in a while a face mask is a must to replenish your skin, your skin goes through a lot every day so it is important to treat it to a little more TLC in your night time routine. There are different masks out there for every skin type, my skin is quite oily so I find that clay masks are much better for me as it doesn't add any extra unwanted oils. This Botanics Ionic Clay Mask cleanses my skin beautifully, my pores don't feel big anymore and that all the bad impurities have been removed. Depending on how badly damaged you feel your face is, then I would recommend doing a face mask every week, if not give it a try every other week.

Every time I go buy a shower gel, I like to mix it up a little bit and try something new, which is not like me at all. I am also not one for very zesty, strong smelling toiletries as I have quite delicate skin so I feel I wont get on with it well. However, when I saw this Original Source shower gel I thought it looked lovely and refreshing. Tea tree is quite a soothing ingredient so I thought that this would make me feel a little De-stressed, and the Lemon makes it very refreshing and makes it feel like Summer in a bottle. I love it!

Yes, this happened, I went to Lush. Every time I go to town I always go into Lush and have a nosey at what they have, unfortunately the store in the town near me is quite small so they don't have a lot of products, especially all the new ones for some reason. After reading quite a few blogs and saw the Easter inspired products I knew that I had to get my hands on some of them. The only product that I got was the bunch of carrots, they are just so cute and make me feel a little hungry. I really do think they are great value for money, being a reusable bubble bath it means that you can get the fresh orange smell a lot more than once. I have only had one bath since buying them, but I hardly used any of the carrot and there were a lot of bubbles which was lovely. The only downside was it made your water look very yellow/brown/orange which made it look quite grubby.

Have you tried any of these products before? I'd love to hear what you have to say about them.

OOTD/WIWT: Jelly Shoes and Scrunchie Throwback

Scrunchie: Homemade
Jeans: New Look
Top: Next
Jacket: Miss Selfridge
Jelly Shoes: Primark
Sunglasses: Dorothy Perkins

Finally we have nice warm weather, well that is what I thought when I stepped out in jelly shoes, vest and rolled up jeans to find it was a little chilly when the sun disappeared under the clouds and the wind picked up. Ahh well, dress summery and you will feel summery.

As you read this I will actually be in London, I'm heading there for the week to see a couple of friends and just do something fun after a few stressful months. I love London its such a beautiful city and I just love that you can literally wear anything and you don't get any strange looks. Fingers crossed I can get some really good snaps of my week away.

This outfit was what I actually wore yesterday, me and my boyfriend went for a walk where I live and we stumbled across this little bridge next to a mini lake/pond, so I decided to get a few outfit shots done. I love the way they have come out, the vibrant colours make the images look so much more interesting and fun to look at, rather than my typical images in my room at uni.

Hope you all have a lovely week and enjoying the sun if it it out where you are.

The Sunday Post

Hello and welcome back to Adventures of Wonderland :) As you might have been aware, I took a bit of a break from blogging last month. I am in my final year of university and I had a lot of work to do, which included a 16 page magazine and my dissertation, alongside a few other assignments. I don't think I am the only student who wonders why all year there is hardly any work to submit and yet you have five or six pieces of work due in at the same time!

It was a very stressful time, I struggled a lot trying to find the time to fit everything in but also what I was going to write. If anyone is reading this and they are in the same situation then I have a little bit of advice which might help you along the way. Firstly, do not panic! This is the one thing that everyone seems to do and in hindsight it makes everything much worse. Make yourself a list of what needs to be done and when the deadline is, put it in the correct order and work down the list until you have finished. If you are still writing your dissertation, then break it down; aim to have 500 words written by the end of the week or if your a fast writer then aim to get 500 words done every two days. Once you have done that take a break, stuff your face with food and watch something on television.

The worst thing you can do is work every hour of every day, this is not healthy, you need a break. Go out and have a bit of fun with your friends and family. My boyfriend came over every weekend as I wasn't able to go home which was so hard for me, we went shopping which did not make my bank account look healthy.

It makes me sad that I was not able to continue with my blog every day, as I set it up to do things I love to keep my mind off uni work. However, I am back and I have a lot of posts planned for you to enjoy.

Thank you so much for still following me without me posting, hope you enjoy what I have planned.
