Make Up Revolution Haul

Let's face it, no matter what it is in the blogging world I am always late to it and the hype is probably over, but who cares the products are still out there and someone everyday will be discovering it.

For months on end after reading millions of posts on Make Up Revolution I finally got my hands on their products, and ..... I love them!!! I was intrigued to see what their range would be like in terms of quality due to it being a very affordable brand with the prices starting from £1.

I bought two palettes; Ultra Blush Palette in Hot Spice which was £6 and the eye shadow Redemption Palette Iconic 1 at £4 which is a pretty decent dupe to the Urban Decay Naked 1 palette. I was amazed at how pigmented these products are, in fact I had a major overload of pink on my cheek the first time I applied it, I didn't realise how little product you needed for your cheeks to look a subtle flush of colour. The blush palette includes two baked shimmery shades, a pinky/bronze and the other a pale pink with purple undertones.

The eye shadow palette is beautiful, the colours are warm and rich, perfect for autumn and winter, these are also highly pigmented and seem to be a luxe cream rather than a powdery consistency once applied which is lovely. I love how you can build them up for a great pop of colour on the lids or keep them fairly natural, I really want to try out the other two iconic palettes too.

The three other product I got were extremely cheap and I have to say they have impressed me a lot. Firstly the cheapest one of all; the pressed powder in shade Translucent, however it is quite a dark shade to be translucent!! It is a very handy compact with a sponge applicator if you are out and about and a mirror on the back too (something which I have only just discovered), it was only £1.

Next is something that I would class as a brilliant dupe for the Benefit Brow zing and that's the Focus and Fix Eyebrow shaping kit in medium dark. I love this, inside is three powders in different shades of brown from light to dark and a clear gel, also the cutest and tiniest applicator and tweezers. I would probably recommend this product over the benefit one at the moment and is so much cheaper at £3.

Finally I could not walk away without getting one of their baked highlighters, I have heard so many bloggers rave over this I had to own one. I got the Golden Lights, it is a cream shade with yellow undertones and extremely pigmented, I was so shocked at how little you need and how amazing it works. I would pick this over any highlighter at the minute and can say with my hand on my heart that I have not had a significant effect on my cheekbones than with this particular product.

I absolutely love Make Up Revolution products and cannot wait to get my hands on more of their stuff. The only downside is, they are not stocked in all Superdrug's so it was fairly tricky for me to actually find them, however, they do have a website.

  2. The redemption palette is absolutely gorgeous! I keep seeing make up revolution around but I haven't managed to pic any up for myself yet, it definitely seems to be overtaking MUA for the budget brand to be buying.
