A Perfect Foundation?

Is there such a thing as finding a perfect foundation?

Every skin tone is different it would be weird if we were all exactly the same, it is the same when it comes to personalities, the world would be a boring place if we were all the same. Skin is like a personality you can be oily, dry, light, dark, blemish free or struggle with a few problem areas. Finding a foundation to match all of these things is tricky and could take years to find, for me, my skin changes as much as the weather and it is so difficult to keep up with.

I always think I have found the perfect foundation and I am almost skipping and singing out of the shop, then a month later it becomes my enemy. I own five foundations, some at a lighter consistency to others and some are a slight darker shade. If my face is going through an oily stage then I prefer to use a thick matte foundation, not to clog up the pores but to block out the shiny t-zone area. But on some occasions my face can become extremely dry if I don't give it a small break from wearing make up so I tend to pick out a lighter foundation which will allow my skin to breath easier.

But if you are a fan of tanning then this is another issue you face when picking the perfect shade of foundation, you don't want to have a beautiful golden glow and an extremely white ghostly face. I would advise you to get the perfect shade when your skin is natural and then get a shade which matches you skin with a tan.

It has taken me a while to accept the fact that I probably wont ever discover the perfect foundation and I will be forever testing out numerous products. This is a good thing, it will give me the opportunity to find a new brand I have not used before, and maybe find other products of theirs too.

    1. Thank you that is so nice of you. Oh really, I never think of trying higher end products, the Mac one I have it slightly too dark for my skin and it was advised by someone at their counter which is a little frustrating but I love it non the less. xxx

  2. I have never really stuck to the same foundation, I have about 5 on the go at once, like you said, with fake tan it can be tricky to make sure you have the matching shade!

    1. I always used to just use the one but now I have realised that I definitely need more than one in my collection xxx
